My 08-09 NBA award winners.. agree or disagree?

most improved:jose calderon - with the departure of tj ford this means that the point guard position of raps now truly belongs to calderon.. one of the most underrated point guards will probably make his all-star debut this year.. runners-up: marco belinelli, javaris crittenton

6th man:manu ginobili - if he continues to come off the bench for the spurs, then there's no contest for this award.. runners-up: lou williams, james posey

coach of the year:terry porter - many might thought that the aging suns will decrease their level of play, but porter will prove us all wrong. runners-up:scott skiles, doc rivers

rookie of the year: greg oden - he could have won this award a year ago had he not been injured. he'll bring the blazers along with roy and aldridge back in contention/runners-up:michael beasley,danilo galinarri

mvp:chris paul - the hardest award to predict.. i think the best player of the team that will get the top spot out west will get the award, but lebron might sneak in.runners-up:kobe, lebron

  1. The sixth man will be battier since he will come off the bench plus he can play defense


  2. i say three of ur predictions r wrong caz if Kinkcs go to playoffs, then D'antoni will be coach of the year for edning 7 year drougt. Rookie of the year is Beasley. oden has fouling trouble,so his minutes r limited. MVp is wade. he will lead a team with the worst record and make it to playoffs. and he will average like 30 points. and  u know how he is when healthy

  3. Most Improved: Jose Calderon--Good pick there.  I agree.  Its his ball club now.  Marco Belinelli will improve greatly next yeat in my opinion.

    6th man-i think Manu Ginobli will start next year.  Just a hunch.  As for 6th man, im going with an outside pick and choosing Boris Diaw.

    Coach of the Year- A toughy, maybe Terry Porter.  Maybe Don Nelson.

    Rookie of the Year: Yea, Oden is the favorite for now.

    MVP-Yikes.  This one is a toughy.  Im sure many are saying Chris Paul.  but imma go with another outside guess and say Steve Nash.

    My fav. team is the Golden State Warirors.

    6th man- I think Manu will start, so I'm gonna go with Nate Robinson on the Knicks. D'antoni's system really fits him, and I think he'll get a lot of minutes.

    COY- Rick Adelman, if he can get Artest, Yao, and T-Mac to co-exist he deserves it.

    ROY- I'm gonna go with Beasley. I think him and the Heat are gonna have a great year.

    MVP- Hmmmmmm, I'm gonna go with Lebron. If his teammates step up a little, then I think he can win it. CP3 would get it if not Lebron.

    maybe later in his career.

    Im thinking Kobe if he can get to the finals again....
