I was looking at my sons toes and every toe on his right foot is dry, cracked, and has a little bit of black. The cracks are very deep, and this is only on the tips of the toes, no where else. Anyone have any idea of what it is? I am taking him to the Dr today around noon..but I just want an idea..i think its athletes foot from all the pools we go to..

  1. you just noticed this? sounds like this didn't happen over night.

you let a year and a half old baby bathe by himself???

  2. They make swimmer shoes buy some!

  3. It's probably a fungal infection. Please make sure he wears sandals in ANY public place. Even a pool. U can use a small amount of anti-fungal cream on him. But check with the doc first

  4. the doc will figure it out. so i do not guess what it might be. but like to add to the guesses and tips that when you frequently visit pools, that you also should teach him to use just a little bit of acid free Vaseline lotion [or equivalent protection] in the  ear[Excessive and relatively constant moisture in the ear canal can cause infection in the external part of the canal], the nose, top of his p***s and a**s.  And when you are the mother then you do the same for yourself and also protect your v****a. Directly after swimming clean your body with soap and water. and when you are for a longer time in recreational water, just  take a break  once in a while to wash your body and always wash your hands before touching any food.

  5. he may have exzema
