  1. It is not a habit, it is just something that he has discovers and likes to watch.  My son (5 months) still stares at ceiling fans sometimes. . .but at that age it was light fixtures.  When they lay on their backs, most of the stuff they see is above them and they get used to that.  There is nothing wrong.

  2. I don't think I would really call it a bad habit. Sounds like more of a phase of interest. Don't worry, soon he will be interested in other things and the ceiling fan will seem boring and he won't miss it when its off.

  3. thats hilarious.. really cute.. all of my kids have been fascinated by ceiling fans too, and ive heard of them developing weird things like that too.. wont sleep without hearing running water etc..... itll pass, but i doubt theres anything you can do to stop it. is it really that bothersome to have it on while hes feeding?

  4. ha ha, my son is the opposite. If the ceiling fan is on he's too distracted to eat anything. He'll suck for a few seconds then turn to look at the fan. Also the room has to be completely quiet, if he hears my fiance or my daughter talking he's turning his head trying to look at them.

  5. you must let him know who is boss... i know he's just a little bitty baby but if he know's you'll turn it on then he has you under his control. turning on the fan isn't such a big deal and he does love it! just as long as you remain in control and can still feed him from home without having to have something to look at... my daughter was the same way... she wanted to look around, understandable.... so when i would nurse out in public using a blanket for a cover i had a hard time keeping it on!!!

  6. dont feed him where the fan is.
