  1. Well first of all you shouldn't have to take her to the hospital unless things go pretty bad. Put about 3 ice cubes in a zip lock bag and put a paper towel around the bag [so it doesn't freeze her head] and hold it on the knot. Give her some children's Motrin or Tylenol or Advil...unless they make the kind for infants, then you should probably use that instead. Call your pediatrician and ask if there's anything else you need to do...they should be able to tell you if she needs to go to the hospital or anything like that....

    Hope I helped!!

    And good luck.

    :)

  2. Make sure she stays awake for at least an hour or two. you can give her pain medicine but it really isn't necessary to take her to the hospital.

  3. so what its a knot she will be fine

  4. well a small bump is completly normal. i dont think it deserves a trip to the emergency room ar anything if its just small...give her some tylenol or motrin and try not to make her think about it. The more you emphasize it the more she will cry, she should be okay to go to sleep just keep your eye on her and make sure her breathing is normal...

hope she feels better! also below is when you shoulg go to the doctor:

    Under six months of age

    Unconscious, even briefly

Crying for longer than 10 minutes

    Vomiting repeatedly

Bleeding from the ears or nose

Rapid swelling just above the ear

Unable to walk or talk normally

    Unequal pupil size

    Severe, worsening headache

    Neck pain

    Seizures

    Skull indentation or large bump

Great force of injury (car accident, long fall, baseball bat, etc.)

  5. I am a paramedic and if she is acting normal than nothing is to be done. If it is to where she seems to be in pain, she needs to go to the DR. Children are very durable. My Son gets hurt some how all the time and within 5 minutes things are like he never hurt him self. It is not even necessary, but you can keep her up for and hour or so, and if nothing changes, read to her and put her to bed.

    Good luck

  6. IF A BUMP CAME UP SHES FINE, KEEP HER A WAKE FOR TWO HOURS OR SO , ONCE SHE IS IN GOOD FORM SHE BE GRAND RING YOUR DOC FOR PEACE OF MIND

  7. okkk, this is very serious.

when my sister was 1, she bumped her head and got a small bump..

but this doesn't just mean she's fine.

just in case, take her to the hospital and get her checked.

her brain may not functioning event though she seems alright.

quickkk!dont waste your time!where are your car keys?

  8. If she has a knot that's good usually, it means it's not an internal injury. But you should still keep an eye on it. Put some ice for the swelling. A couple of hours of wakefullness should be ok, get a flashlight and check for dilation a few times in the couple of hours. If pupils dilate, that's a sign of no concusion (again, in most cases, not all) and then if it seems like everything's ok you can put her to bed. you will probably want to check on her periodically tonight though. She'll probably be ok. Sorry this happened. It's so heartbreaking. She'll probably get a lot more before her life is done. ;)
