sexually at school.

She is in 4th grade and there is a little boy who has been calling her names like *****, w***e, sl+t and lezbo (he says to her and her best friend). I have brought it to the attention of the vice principal and after school program coordinator but it continues. She has been dealing with this bully all year, he is a 4th grader too, do I go to the principal or his parents? She has tried walking away and ignoring him but she was sobbing to me and her dad last night about it, but asked that we don't go to the school again because whenever this kid gets in trouble he comes back harder at whoever tells on him. It breaks my heart that my 10 yr old little girl is being called names no woman should ever have to hear towards her let alone a child of this age. HELP!!!!

  1. I would at the least make a call to the principal.  I know they can't control every kid, kids will be kids and schools hands are really tied with things...but we send our kids expecting they will spend the day in a safe environment.  I would ask the principal to keep you informed of what they do, whether it be contacting the parents, removing the child from the group, etc. If you don't see improvement, I am sure your local school board has a complaint department.

If this is at an after school program, especially one you pay for, they have the right to kick a troublesome child out of the program. Complain to the director and take it up the ladder.  Good luck!

  2. your best bet is to go back to the school. it will be better for all involved if it comes from the school. talk with the principal, but also with the teachers who are with your daughter most often. this kind of bullying is completely unacceptable, especially for children this young! where is this 10 year old learning this language!?if the teachers are aware that is has been going on, they can pay attention ant hopefully  "catch him in the act" then they can punish him from there. then the teacher can contact the parents. stick up for your daughter now and she'll know that if or when bullying gets worse during her teen years she can come to you for help and depend on you to be on her side. the bond between mother and daughter is very important this way. in the mean time, tell your daughter that she is smart, beautiful, special, funny, and none of those things that the boy is saying are true, and that she should never have to put up with being treated that way by anyone. good luck!!! it's not easy raising girls these days ...

  3. I would work my way up the chain of authority until something was done, up to and including calling the parents of the child. They may or may not have a clue as to what's going on.

If it were to continue in spite of that, you could take legal action against the child via suing his parents for harassment and getting an order of protection for your daughter.

  4. You do WHATEVER it takes to protect your little girl...go to the School Board and the parents...talk to them and let them know in NO uncertain terms... if this harrassment does not stop IMMEDIATELY...you will be retaining an Attorney and suing the School District as well as them!

  5. That is absoutely heartbreaking. Maybe have a talk with this boys parents, but make sure the parents don't reveal to that little brat who your daughter is so he won't go harder on her.

You could also ask to transfer her to another class.

Personally if it was me, I would go down there and beat that boy within a inch of his life, but we all know we can't do that.

    =/

  6. That child has some issues.

I am not sure if going to the parents would be worth it. Do you know what they are like? Are they good people with a bad seed? Or poor parents?

I would go to the school again and speak to the higher up. This is a huge issue and no child should have to be sexual harassed at school. When you speak with the principle make sure you use works like Sexual Harassment, but a little fear in them.

  7. I would deal with it any way I can Principal his parents anything...this needs to be dealt with now. Your daughter needs to know she is safe at school and that when she comes to you it gets dealt with.

  8. In the old day, My parents will just go to school and teach the boy a lesson. But with all these new laws, we cant do that. Give her some pepper spray and tell her to used on the kid.

  9. Go to the board...the superindendent....write to the mayor...the school needs to stop that and he should have some descipline for that!  It should not be tolerated!  Principal not his parents and if it doesn't stop then yes go to the parents and tell them what he is doing and if they have an ounce of dignity they will straighten him up!

  10. Talk to the boy, the prinicle, the parents and the cops.

  11. Perhaps you should talk to your daughter about dealing with bullies.  A lot of bullies pick on people who seem to be an easy target, so there must be something about how your daughter handles herself that in his mind makes her an easy target.  Here are some links that I found on the topic.

This could be a great learning opportunity (about life) for your daughter, and if she manages to get the bully to stop, she will gain tremendous self-esteem.

Good Luck (personally I would want to beat the c**p out of the kid, but hey, I also want to win the lottery! LOL)

  12. he's just a stupid kid, he probably doesnt even know what they mean (or he could be hearing them at home O.o). i would go straight to the parents so they can deal with his smart aleck little a s s. so sorry for your daughter; you're right, no woman should have to hear these words...

  13. You will probably get no response at all because the NCLB law requires schools to have very few behavioral reports in order to get more money.

THIS is the reason for fighting, bullying , killing in schools. Even though all this IS rampant in schools, the powers that be who give schools the money will NEVER know this becuase the schools ignore the bad kids and do not write any kind of behavior reports so the schools can get more money.

To ($*&#(#&*   if the kids get killed, just so long as the schools get that  ($)##&#&  money!!

I would write a letter of everything thats happened, how you talked to VP and nothing has happened, give this letter to EACH member of the school board.

You'll probably have to write a letter to have put in the newspaper.

  14. I attended Columbine High School in Colorado and all I can say is that parents need to take this matter as seriously as possible. Maybe the disaster at our school could have been avoided if action had been taken sooner. Talk to the principal and inform them that if they don't do something that you will take legal action. We need to end this bullying in schools! As the parent it is your responsibility to be the voice for your daughter. She may not like it now but it could help prevent a much bigger problem in the future. Teach those kids a lesson!!!!!

  15. I think that when addressing the principle you make it clear that you demand attention. That you never expected the school to be so ineffective. Make it clear that if the school administration can't handle the problem you will notify the school board.
