My 10 year old is always unhappy and does not mix well he hates school sugg please?

help been to camhs with my son and they said just send him up to his room when he naughty ,my son gets very angry and has put arope round his neck and he does not mix well please any suggestions would be appreciated

Please speak with your child's doctor at ONCE!!! Children can and DO commit suicide at this age and one of the problems is that they fail to realize the permanence of death.

Irritability and anger can be signs of depression in children.  There are some very good medications that can make them feel a lot better if this is what is going on. Only a doctor can evaluate and see if depression is what is causing this.

Please do not delay getting help.  Do it RIGHT NOW! Depression is a chemical imbalance like diabetes, etc. It is a physical illness. It does not mean he is crazy. Get help please!

My suggestion you may or may not agree with, but a child who is raised knowing God will be a happier child. I don't know what your beliefs are, and I really don't want to offend anyone. I would start off by praying for him on a daily basis. Ask the Father to wrap his arms around that boy and let him know that He loves him. That child is so precious, even though he is acting out. Many children do these things to get attention, cause they don't care whether it is positive or negative attention. Even though I am sure he knows how much you love him- let him know again. Every little boy needs their mommy, no matter how aggressive or angry they are.

And about school... do you think that maybe he is bored because he is too smart for his grade? This is pretty common.

hello,my name is grace,as an 11 year old i know wat he is going through.i did not mix well in school for a VERY long time.kids were always picking on me and once i even heard a few girls in my school theatining to gang up on me,my mom got me with a school councelor and i started getting better.me and my mom now spend a lot of time with each other.i would try talking to him.

wow! you need to give this boy some SERIOUS attention so he knows EVERY minute how much you love him! Him being that young and putting a rope around his neck is SERIOUS!

Maybe you can look into homeschooling him! there are public online schools that you can do! They are not hard...if you can read you can teach!

He needs his mommy.......and he needs you to love him and show him a lot of extra attention!

Perhaps put your son into a VBS (Vacation Bible School) for the summer at a good bible teaching church!

I know when I was young I loved VBS! and he can meet some good kids to be friends with that might lift his spirits up and help him through this!
