  1. Will he drink meal replacement shakes such as Ensure?  GNC also has weight on shakes that are pretty good.

  2. I wouldn't feed him a non stop supply of Mc Donald's :-p All that cholesterol can't be good for your heart.

Growing up I was a very tiny, skinny, and under weight. I'm still under weight.

Just always keep healthy food available. Leave a candy dish out filled with mixed nuts. During the afternoon leave out a plate of cut up fruit. That way her can snack through out the day. Always keep juice boxes in the fridge. You can even try making your own fruit smoothies.

If he's really under weight try ensure. And also a daily multivitamin.

    Good luck

  3. Him? 99.999% of boys eat like a machine. Their is something wrong, i'd get more opinions on what to do. Maybe a dietician.

  4. increase his protein intake and love him for who he is.  our culture is too obsessed with body image.

  5. Has he always been this way?  A friend of ours has a kid who had some kind of really rare disorder where he doesn't feel hungry.  They are constantly monitoring his weight and trying to get him to eat.  Whenever he loses a little weight they take him to McDonald's and get him a burger.  Those things have tons of fat.

  6. Don't worry about it. Both my sons were extremely thin, now my 30 year old is normal and my sixteen year old is the same but extremely healthy. I was that way when I was young, my parents would even stuff me with ice cream and even went as far as to offer me money if I ate more. I'm normal weight now. It's our metabolism and isn't anything to worry about. But don't give him anything or he'll learn bad eating habits. Give him healthy good tasting food.

  7. my 10 year old is thin I was thinking of vitamins

  8. put half and half on his cereal.. i know some one that did that.. i guess it helped.

  9. try getting him to eat lots of Carbs.

they are the most efficient way to gain weight....

Especially if he eats them right before he goes to bed...

that way.....his body won't have time to burn them up...

Other than that you can put him on nutrient shakes.

    It's probably just his metabolism.

    If it gets too bad....

the doctor can prescribe a dietary supplement.
