It's going to be just him and myself should i be worried about preditors looking for someone who is traveling without a male companion?

  1. Okay thats a weird thought. Just keep him close and make sure he doesn't wonder off. If anything happens tell the captain and contact autorities.

  2. You may need to worry more about predators eying your 10 year old son.

I would not let it be known that he is in the cabin alone if you plan to take in the late night activities without him.

I have cruised on Carnival several times, it is a party ship and can be a lot of fun. Just keep your wits about you.  I have heard of loud parties and people being  disturbed late at night, but I have never experienced it.

It would be nice if he had a companion to be with him if you plan to take advantage of the Kids Programs on board.

Otherwise find the activities on and off the ship that you will both enjoy. Plan each day the night before or even before you go (which you can do for days in port) so as not to waste time during the day.

There are a lot of things to do that fit both age categories.

Even with caution it can be a great trip.

    Enjoy.

  3. A sick 10 year old.
