  1. You need to get your dog into a vet.  Why are you asking here?  Yahoo Answers is not the place to go if you have a sick dog.

  2. Sorry, no one here can help you.  Your dog needs to see his vet to get that lump diagnosed and properly treated.

  3. A veterinarian will be able to assist.

  4. the faqster the better take him to the vet it might be cancer.

  5. What help could you possibly want from anyone online? Please take him to the vet.

  6. these are questions your vet needs to address.  no one can diagnose your dog over the internet.

  7. It is probably a cyst. Lots of older dogs get them, my dog has three. But if it is really big, you should ask a doctor about it, it may be harmful to your doggie

  8. My dog had a lump come up on her stomach a few months ago.  She scratched at it too.  She was so weak and looked real sad, so we carried her to the vet.  It was a puncture wound, he didn't know the cause but it had gotten infected and when she scratched it, it helped "pop" it and the infection started oozing out.  The vet gave me some antibiotics and some anti-itch pills to give her.  But it could be something completely different with your dog.  I would suggest taking it to the vet.

  9. I would suggest taking your dog to a vet.  It could be anything from cancer to a cyst to a bug bite.  No one here will know exactly what it is.  A vet needs to look at it and diagnose it for you.

  10. Go to your vet immediately, my dog had a large lump on her chest and it wound up being a Benign Tumor. It was an easy operation that could have saved my dog. Instead we waited too long and it opened on her, before we could get her to a vet she lost a lot of blood. The vet examined her and found that she was way below a safe level for her white blood cell count.

This required a blood transfusion in the thousands of dollars range, that mixed in with lung cancer that they found ultimatley meant that we had to put her down. Had we treated the tumor imediately we could have had a couple more years with our best friend. I really miss her and she could be right beside me now... don't wait get him checked now.

  11. It may be an insect bite. My poor old GS gets bitten a lot while she lays on the grass outside and often ends up a bit lumpy and itchy. Keep an eye on it. If it hasn't gone down by tomorrow or if it starts to weep or bleed or the dog shows any signs of distress contact your vet for some advice.
