I have an ASRock P43Twins1600 motherboard with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.56ghz CPU. I know the MB supports this frequency, and the manual says I don't need to use the FSB jumpers unless overclocking. Should I use the jumpers anyway? Or is this a different problem? I am a little new to this...

  1. You may need to go into the BIOS and change the settings to 1066.

  2. You won't win this one.... I finally got it to work but it took a long time and I could never begin to fully explain how to make it work.

Good start... download CPUz  find out the memories capabilities CAS timing etc.

Go into BIOS and ... good luck :)

  3. use the jumpers. if your FSB isnt compatible with your ram, it will clock them down to the lowest speed it can in order to run smoothly
