  2. my daughter has something similar- no runny nose though- I asked my mom and she said it might be from teething but I might take her to the doc anyway.

  3. How long has he had the rash for? If it has come on suddenly, it could be caused by the virus (runny nose etc). If it has developed gradually, it could be an intolerance to something he has eaten or to something that has been in contact with his skin. Have you used baby wipes to clean his face, changed the shampoo/soap you use on him, or changed laundry products?

If you are concerned and especially if the rash spreads, take him to a doctor. It's better to get it checked as some rashes can be serious.

  4. You might want to take him to the doctor just to be safe. It actually sounds like he might be teething. Some babies get a rash and their cheeks get red when they are teething. It is also pretty common for babies who are teething to get a runny nose, eat less because it hurts, and be more clingy. Of course a doctor could tell you for sure that it is nothing more serious so that it probably the way to go. Good luck :)

  5. He could be allergic to something. My nephew got a rash on his cheeks and the doctor figured out he was allergic to "fake" cheese products such as cheez whiz and my niece is allergic to strawberries.
