Well my sister (who is 11 years old) has armpit stink. After like she runs a little bit or after she play around a little bit and you stand next to her you could smell it. I don't want to give her deodorant because I heard if you use it when your too young you can get cancer. And besides my mom would think if you use it too young it can lead to serious "stuff" when she gets older. (My mom is overprotective, seriously.) I'm 15 and my armpit still doesn't stink. So any suggestion. One more thing she does clean her armpit every night.

  1. deodorant is really the best way to go.

and it does not cause cancer. if there was even a slight chance that it did i would not be using it. that may not solve the problem completely though. tell your sister to shower right before she goes to bed and put on the deodorant before she goes to sleep. it will help it get into the skin better and she wont even need it in the morning.

  2. Not if she uses an all natural deodorant such as the Tom's of Maine line that is available now in grocery and drug stores. There are no chemicals in it that could harm her. It is good of you to watch out for your little sister and help her.

  3. If you want a good deo, just go for one of those more naturally.

Being that sweat from your armpits don't actually stink, it's the bacteria.

Deodorants work by making the skin a more acidic, unfriendly environment for the bacteria. Non-natural commercial deodorants contain several ingredients that you would want to avoid. They include:

    * Aluminum compounds (associated with Alzheimer’s) that can accumulate in the brain.

    * Parabens, a class of preservatives that are being studied to determine if they play a role in breast cancer development.

    * Propylene glycol, a neurotoxin that causes dermititis and kidney and liver damage.

That's the only fear that parents would have. Just look at the link:

  4. Just use the roll on type without any added smellier like  powder, strong perfumes, just the regular. At one time years ago they took the spray can types off the market because they were causing problems arm pit problems due to the spray ingredients. Your Mother though will have the final word, but if her daughter is out there smelling bad, I would think she would suggest the regular deodorant. Best of luck to you young lady and your sister.

  5. first, tell her to wash her arm pits EVERY night. get her a natural deodorant. they still work and you have less a risk of cancer if you use it. I started using it when i was around 11, maybe younger. My first deodorant was natural...it smelled like peaches and it worked.

  6. The only thing deorderant will cause your sister is a fresh clean scent! Shes 11 she should be using it if shes smelling like that from her pits. Girls neeed to start wearing by 11 12  yrs old and earlier or later if need be but she obvioulsy needs it now, so its only fair and normal she get some and a good one..she needs a  anti-perspiant deodernat.

Deoderant is not going to cause her cancer it is going to help her.

I started using it at 11 or 12 yrs old so its no big deal at all. If anything hide the anti-perspirent deodernat from your mom and keep it on ur stuff like its urs but it will really be ur sisters. It will not cause her any harm at all. Also just becuz u don't seem to sewat like that, dosn't mean she is gonna be the same way we r all different and it is embarrassing for her to be walking around like that at school or anywhere with sweaty smelly pits. pLz get her some I'm sure by now shes noticed she needs it.

  7. dude i was useing it when i was nine...tell your mom to stop treating her like a baby and get her it
