Ok my 11 year old son has been interested in karate lately, and hes been wanting to learn how to do the 3 kinds of flips. The Backflip, Frontflip, and i forgot the other name, the double leg or something. He is starting with front flip. He can do the flip on his bed. He gets some jump, puts his hands up then flips and he tucks, but he cant untuck his legs fast enough to land. He uses our spare bedroom bed, its really bouncy. Can anyone add something to do i cant help him at all! He has been at it for almost 5 hours straight!

1. He jumps and gets air.

2. He puts his hands in the air

3.He flips, swinging his hands down

4.He tucks

5. He trys to realease his legs in time but always lands on his back, but, or knees.

6. He is getting frustrated.

  1. dude your funny

  2. plyometrics training will give him some inches in his jump making him able to get the flip around.  If he started doing this regularly at 11, he'll train his lower body muscles to be fast-twitch reacting, making him really explosive and athletic.

  3. when u do a front flip, the position of ur hands in the air doesn't move. so when ur going into the tuck.u pull ur body towed ur hands. when u do the tuck ur legs should come out by itself, by the movement.
