My 11 yo daughter is doing a talent competition....need help with song selection?

Question

She wants to sing "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid. She sings it awesome...but I think "A Change in Me" from Beauty and the Beast is a better song because of difficulty. We have 2 day left to decide.

I want her to have a great time... Not sure what other pre-teens will be singing at something like this.

i say please dont stop the music sos from jb and rihanna dont do a song thats not hip beacouse she is going to be humiliated just like my friend was

Both songs are entirely appropriate. "Part of Your World" I have sung over and over again, from when I was 5 and just learning it to when I was 13 practicing for a music festival.

If your daughter wants to sing "World" then that's what she should be singing. It's the song that she will better be able to perform: she will be more comfortable with it and will be able to portray all the emotions effectively, because it's the one most personal to her.
