My dauther spotted a few months ago, an stopped. Once again shes spotted again, lasting about an hour or so then stopped again, is this normal for a 12 year.

Don't worry it's totally normal! When a girl starts her period she will be irregular which is the case wth your daughter, it should regulate in roughly a year a two :)
