tell her it happens, and that you know you she's embarrassed, but it will be forgotten. someday she will laugh about it. i was in a day camp when i was younger, and we went on an overnight camping trip, and being the head-in-the-clouds person ive always been, i accidentally walked into the boys tent! i was so embarrassed. now i think it's funny. you could tell her similar stories about yourself or others you know. you can use mine if you want, and maybe others can share their stories too if they wanted, so that she can see it happens to everyone at least once in their lives.

I don't know whether you're the mom or the 12-year-old, but here goes.

12 year olds tend to be very easily embarrassed.

Now I am much older than either of you, I'm sure.  A while back I decided to take Tae Kwon Do lessons.  We wore uniforms of course, the kind that wraps around your chest and ties on the side.  We were learning what to do if somebody grabs your collar with both hands.  I thought I knew what to do.  I put both my hands between his arms, raised my arms and quickly spread them out.  It worked!  The only problem was, he was holding onto my collar, he accidentally pulled the shirt open, and I didn't have an undershirt!  "Well, that's one way to do it," he commented.  Fortunately I did have a bra on....

I'm old enough not to be so easily embarrassed, or maybe I was always that way, I'm not sure.  

I kept going to Tae Kwon Do after that, but after that I always wore a shirt under my uniform.  

So take a lesson from me; go back to class, but take precautions not to accidentally expose yourself again.

I would tell her that you empathize with her embarrassment, but she needs to go back and just get over it.

Tell her its normal and the boy probably wants to see them again!!..okay well no that probably wont work but tell her avoiding him will make it worst and if she goes it wont be as bad a s she imagined it would

ok. BIG DEAL! but try to make it a small deal. go with your daughter out to ice cream. get her confidence back. CHances are that that poor boy is more mortfied than her.  just help her with her confidence, and just make her go back to c=school the next day. now that particular event? over. done. fenito. NO MORE TALKING ABOUT IT! the more time it goes on with out being mentioned at home, at school, everywhere, the lesser of a deal it will become. just remind her that in 1-2 years, this won't be a deal at all mutch less a BIG deal.thats what i do. tell her that in 8th grade no one will remember!

I would really just talk to her about it and explain to her that it  was embarrassing but try to explain to her that embarrassing things happen sometimes. I would also maybe share some embarrassing stories with her that happened to her when you were a child. I would not push the issue though if she feels that strong about it then it is her decision.....

OK THIS IS A GOOD ONE. UMMMMMMM HAVE SOME ONE A CLOSE FRIEND COME OVER AND PRETEND THAT SHE DIDNT KNOW AND ACCIDENTALLY SHOW HER b***s TO HER NO BETTER YET YOU DO IT WAIT TILL ONE OF THOSES DAY WHEN SHE WOULD NORMALLY  BE AT GYMNASTICS AND WALK RIGHT INTO HER ROOM ARE WHERE EVER SHE IS AND SAY OH MY GOD HIDE YOUR SELF AND SAY I THOUGHT YOU WHERE AT GYMNASTICS. I THINK THAT WOULD DEFIENTLY MAKE HER FEEL BETTER AND THEN EXPLAIN TO HER I ACCIDENTALLY SHOW YOU MY b***s. TELL HER IT OK 2 BE AFRAID SHE IS SUPPOSE 2 BE BUT TELL HER ARE YOU GOING 2 MISS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY
