  1. my dog does too.  i just put him outside in the kennel. but don't do that with the baby.   joking.

i used to be scared of it too. when my mother used to vacuum i used to jump on the bed.  i was five years old.

i think its the loud noise, try seeing if they have silent or less loud vaccuums.  they should since they have silent washing machines now.

  2. put her in crib w/ toys/book while u vacuum

  3. aw my two and half year old hates the vacuum lol.  But I just reassure her that it won't hurt her and I usually try and distract her in a another room with a book or something until I'm done.  I think its just something she will eventually grow out of as she gets older.

  4. wat does hovver mean

  5. My son is 15 months and hates it too!  I have to carry him around on my hip while I vacuum.  I put him down when he gets too heavy but he just starts shaking and crying...poor wee thing.

  6. My baby is 19 months old and she had the same problem, she would freak out even at the sight of the hoover. At first I tried to avoid the vaccum in front of her but it was not possible to continue like that for long. So instead I explained to her that I was going to vaccum, that it would not hurt her and then made her sit on the couch in front of me. For the first 2-3 times she cried a lot but slowly she adjusted well to it and did not cry.

So I would suggest that every time you need to vaccum, explain to your child what you are about to do, keep a smiling face during the process and give her a big hug for being so brave after you are done . Eventually she will get the idea that it is nothing to panic about.

    Best of luck!
