My 13 week old kitten is till trying to nurse.?

My family got charley about 5 weeks ago when he was 8 weeks old. he is a great cat, but at night or when hes sleepy, will crawl up and snuggle into our necks. usually this leads to him sucking on my neck, ear lobes, chin, lips and nose. My family has raised several cats, and not once have we experience something like this before, what does it mean and what can we do to end this behavior?

I had a cat who did this for like 2 years...it was so annoying...I had to put a towel in my chest because he would suckle my shirt at night when I slept.  He grew out of it...but I do remember always having to push him away when he started to knead and suckle...yours is still very young and he should stip hopefully soon..just say "no" and push gently away when he does this behavior.  Its cute at first but it gets old fast. He's doing it because he misses his Mommy he will grow out of it. Just give him alot of love and cuddle time.

he apparently had to fight to get nursing time in with his mom and lost to his more dominate brothers/sister. It's nothing to worry about and in due time he will stop. If he see him starting to nurse on you, gently remove him and place him elsewhere. he will soon learn this isn't acceptable. All it will take is a few times with each person doing this.
