It could be lice, but It could also be due to not washing shampoo out of the hair properly, as this irritates the skin, does the scalp appear to be red?

has she changed her hair products lately?? shampoo or started using conditioner? or styling products , mousse/gel/heat protection sprays etc if she straightens her hair?? it could be an irritation from this if nothing is obvious when you look at her head.

Maybe she has nits & lice. All you have to do is use a special spray & comb and that should get rid of them.

Most probably nits. You can get stuff over the counter at the chemist.

They are very easily caught from hairbrushes etc.

when i was younger around 13 lice was a huge prob! i would deff say it was lice. you have to take all her hair brushes ect and throw them away and buy lice treatment and her friends may have it. there for after you treat your daughter her friends may give it right back to her. lice loves clean hair and every young girl gets it and passes it to there friends. i remember i couldnt go to school til i got rid of it. i would deff say the cause of it was lice. you should research it. good luck
