My 13 year old g*y friend needs help!!! (he's male)?

Question

my best friend is g*y and he's in love with a guy and he wrote the guy a letter saying how he feels about him but the guys mum got hold of the letter and she read it and is keeping it he hasn't read it, so his mum spoke to my Friend about it and she said are you in love for my son and he said yeah and then she said if you want to be his friend don't tell him but if you do tell him then he'll go straight to his dad and his dad has a temper, and if you do anything like this again i'm going straight to your mum.

the guy is now ignoring my mate so my mate think he hates him this really upset my friend

my Friend is only 13 and not sure if the guy he likes is g*y and no my friends mum doesn't know her son is g*y

any help or suggestions would be gratly appreciated

Well, honestly, that was a little forward of him to write a note without even confirming whether the other guy is g*y. That should be his first step now. If he's not, then your friend is going to have to accept that, if only because he's so young. When he's older it will be easier. Plus most young men don't even consider if they're g*y or not, it just hasn't hit them that it's a possibility.

there's nuthin' left to do but leave the kid alone, he obviously is too young for any kind of relationship anyway.

First, even if he was straight, he is far to young to be considering any kind of relationship.  Especially one of this nature.  

He may be confused or just going through some kind of phase.  I know it can't be easy, but tell him to wait until he's older and knows for sure if he is g*y or not.
