My 14-year old cat keeps throwing up on my bed. Why?

Every night that I get home from work for the last week, I have found that my cat has thrown up on my bed. She has thrown up a couple times in the past, but not very often. This has happened three times in a row.

The vomit looks like the cat food hasn't hardly been chewed, and it is in big chunks. It is easy to clean up, but it worries me. And I'm running out of sheets.

She just recently had surgery to remove a tumor within the last month. I doubt that has anything to do with it, but it cost a lot and I'm not ready for another veterinarian bill unless it is necessary.

Any Ideas? A little background information.. She is a pretty fat cat, 14-years old and she mostly eats Hard Food. I feed her canned food on occasion, but she has hard food daily. That is what she is throwing up. It has happened three nights in a row on my bed. Before that, it happened twice last week, on the floor. Thanks.

  1. Usually there will be nothing seriously wrong with your cat. A meal your cat has eaten too fast, too much eaten (especially too much dry cat food). cats sometime throw up because they get to excited, furball, sometimes even when your cat gets stressed it throws up.

if it happens too many times you should go to the vet and get your cat checked out it could be something serious.

  2. try propping her food up on a stool. if its higher up, she east slower. this helped my kitty that was throwing up on my bed! must be a popular spot...

also try switching to a specialy formulated food for sensitive stomachs for awhile.
