My son always had problems studying. In one hand, he is a spoiled kid. In the other hand, he is below average students and his grades are always adjusted so he can continue next level. Now he stoped going to school(the law in our country doesn't handle this). He is a very difficult kid. I would like help and references to websites which would help me handle this problem as it is tearing up the whole family. Proffisional openions will also be appriciated.

  1. Sorry to say, you acknowledge what he is, wow, maybe if you opened a good old fashion can of whoop ***, he might want to go back to school.  Personally, I would pop that behind every time he walked by.  Now, he has quit school, what, oh h**l no.  Sorry to say, you made the monster so you have to tame it.  Sorry I don't know of any reading materials that might help, maybe if you put his behind to work, there you go - he doesn't want to go to school - then he goes to work - to earn his keep.   God Bless.

  2. there is home home schooling , alot of kids here in the united states have the same promblems, and the parents end up teaching the kids at home, If you have the computer, and your son can use it, your son then can get a degree in no time by the time he is 15 just by being on the computer everyday, Let the computer be his teacher, there is soo much to learn, and the parents are there monitering their kids, you coach him, be there one on one with him, The school though, you haved to go to his principle and tell the principal that you want him to be one of the home schooling kids, And he would give you imformation on how to get started

  3. I would either, try to teach him from home. Or if he won't even do that, go kick his ***, and tell him to go back to school, and if he still doesn't start to take away his prize possessions, for now, till he starts to go back, and get decent grades, that he earned.

  4. I did not know a 14 year old boy could quit school.

  5. I can see who is boss in your house.

  6. I wouldn't advise letting him lay about the house all day. That would be a reward. If he has left school, he must believe he is an adult, so treat him like it. Make him get a job to pay you a realistic room and board. Set the money aside in an account for him (don't tell him though), so hopefully when he wises up to the fact that he will likely work in a low paying job for the rest of his life without an education he will have some funds to put toward catching up with tutors. If he gets mad about having to pay you, he will find he has to pay someone for room and board when he moves out too. At least with you, he will have money for his future tutor or school fees, even if he doesn't realize it.

  7. Coming from a kid who is also spoiled:  Quit spoiling him.  This will only make it even worse.  Reward him with stuff when he does good.  But scold him when he is being bad and ground him/take stuff away.  I have now idea what books/reading sources to use, but please just keep him in school.  He will thank you when he gets older.

  8. what country are you in?You do not say.Its required by law in U.S.if you dont parent can go to jail.

But.I would make him a sweet deal...video game?(bribery works best in my house..lol)

Promise video game system or something that works for your child...:)

  9. He's too young to make that decision, even if he's doing poorly in school. He'll probably end up doing manual labor if you let him continue on this path.

  10. Here's some information you might be interested in.  Are there alternative schools in your country that he can attend? Can you afford a private tutor so he can truly be at the proper level?  Can he do an independent study program and graduate from school?

Is he depressed or on drugs?  Is he legally allowed to work?  Good luck.  Many parents have dealt with this problem and survived.
