My 15 inch kicker l7 doesnt thump like it should?

i have a solo baric 15 inch kicker L7 that plays but doesnt drill like it should, Now at first i thought it was the amp i have a brand new lanzar (vibe 286 i think) the 4000 watt amp, but i hooked up two ten inch spl's two it and they drill hard, but i know the 15 should make my ears bleed like my bros 12 will, i read somewhere two touch the ends to a "c" batteries and if it clicks then the voice coils are good and it clicked, also when i push down on the speaker cone there is no scratching or rubbing sound, i'm lost and only know minor things about car stereo's any help would be appreciated as i am lost on this situation. thank you

did you check to see if the cone has seperated from the basket? if this has happend both of your previous test would still hold true if it has seperated sorry bro.
