  1. it can go on for several days. Check with your doc, but I think you can safely give a dose of tylenol AND motrin at the same time once to break the fever. My doctor had me do this for my 8 year old when she spiked a fever of 104 in february. After the combined medication give them alternately every 3 hours. Make sure that he is hydrated even if you have to give him gatorade with a medication syringe or force feed him pedialyte popsicles ( I mushed them up into a slushy for my son and spoon fed him)

  2. You don't have to worry unless it goes to 102 or above and won't come down.  If it gets to 102 call the Dr especially if there are other illness signs and the motrin just isn't helping at all.  Keep him cool with a cool wash cloth and lots of liquids that a cool.  My boys would get a fever of 102 and keep it for 1-2 weeks sometimes for just a virus.

  3. My son registered 105 once in his jammies.  We immediately called the doctor and the first thing he asked was how was logan acting.  Was he lethargic, restless or vomiting?  No, he was sleeping peacefully.  Logans fever went away naturally.

I would look at your son and see if he looks okay except for the fever.  If he looks dehydrated or is listless I would call the doctor or go in.  If he is acting okay, I would wait until tomorrow.
