My 16 month old just had an odd diaper....?

There was no solid stool, so it looks like it may have been diahrrea b/c it was pretty much absorbed into his diaper.. it was the color of tar, a friend who was here sad it looked like "dried mascara" if that helps any .. lol what could this be? something he may have ate or else?

you should call the doctor... could be old blood.

Well I'm not sure if this helps or not but I am a teacher at a Daycare and I have one year olds and most of the time when I have a diaper that is like that its one of two things



1) did the baby just have shots?

2) does the baby eat alot or did the baby just eat any type of greens like spinach or any thing along that  line ?

Is he getting anything with iron in it?

Either way, I'd save the diaper and call the doc.

it sounds like he is getting too much iron this can cause poisoning in children under 6. call you hospital asap and ask for there advice.
