  1. Check with your local dental college.  All procedures are performed under the direct supervision of a Professor of Dentistry or Oral Surgeon.  I live in Maryland, and the school at University of Maryland is well-known for their work.  They charge a nominal fee, and you can call for fee amount beforehand.

  2. You can ask them to finance or place the fee on a credit card.  Generally insurance doesn't cover this procedure anyways unless it is a severe case and needs to come out immediately...

You can also check out local universites and colleges and get a major discount.  However, there is usually a waiting list for this.

Either way it is pretty important to get the wisdom teeth out for good hygiene reasons.

  3. i was born without wisdom teeth. yay evolution

  4. My uncle had the same problem growing up. What he did was went to a nearby dental school and an oral surgeon in training did it for free. He said he experienced a fair amount of pain though, but then again so did I and I had a fully qualified oral surgeon.

  5. If they are still impacted sometimes regular insurance will cover it.  As a mother I feel you have to somehow find the money. Your child's health is at stake. A child died of an infected tooth. You cannot let your child suffer.

You may have to get some type of financing, a dental school, set up a payment plan if possible or borrow the money. But as a mother myself I would and did move heaven on earth to get my children the dental treatment they needed.

  6. WHERE DO YOU LIVE? IM IN CALIFORNIA, AND MY HUSBAND WAS LAID OFF A FEW MONTHS BACK, SO WE ARE WITHOUT INSURANCE RIGHT NOW ALSO! I HAVE BEEN HAVING ALOT OF PAIN WITH MY WIZDOMS, SO I FINALLY DID IT YESTERDAY! I HAD MY WIZDOMS EXTRACTED AT 5:30 PM, WAS IN AND OUT IN 15 MINUTES!

ANYWAYS, IF YOU ARE OVER HERE, ON THE WEST COAST, GO TO WESTERN DENTAL. THEY DONT RUN YOUR CREDIT, BUT THEY DO ALLOW YOU TO HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN, SO I PAID $150 DOWN, YESTERDAY, AND NOW I HAVE ABOUT 4 OR 5 MONTHLY PAYMENTS OF $60...

    SO, CHECK ON WESTER DENTAL!!!

  7. Take a look at my Discount Dental Plan website.  See if there are providers in your area and check out the fee schedule.

We offer discounts of up to 80% on all dental services so you don't have to do the negotiating.  It only costs $19.95/month for your entire household.  http://www.MyBenefitsPlus.com/Rdoll

Based on my experience and my husbands it is better to get your wisdom teeth out earlier than later.

PS.  For a limited time I am offering a $300 FREE gas voucher for anyone who joins

Let me know if you have any questions.

  8. I have a good dental plan that saves me about 50% on all my dental costs..  You should check them out...  I think they're nation wide...  www.savondentalplan.com

  9. there are studies that pay you to remove your wisdom teeth but i'm afraid they might require you to be over the age of 18. i just had mine removed (where i only wanted one out but they said it was in my best interest to have all removed) and i used my dental insurance; it was still super expensive. i would look into the studies and maybe there is a place that can do it at no cost (keep in mind these studies are to try out new pain meds used for similar procedures so it might hurt her mouth but not your wallet). good luck
