Question:

My 16 year old niece is a juvenile delinquent. What are her mothers options?

She runs my sister ragged. She refuses to go to school, somehow managed to get a giant tattoo of her boyfriends name on her back, she beats up her 7 year old brother, sneaks away at night and refuses to stop seeing her hoodlum boyfriend (who we believe is abusing her), breaks things in her tantrums around the house. She has even had a pregnancy scare twice already. She is out of control. Is there any reform school she could be sent to, or maybe a boot camp for girls in the South Jersey area? Thanks for your assistance!

  1. It appears that your niece has a pretty bad past and it seems it's going to get only worse as time goes on. I know as a father of 3 daughters it's hard to put your own child away, but this is what her mother may have to do in straighten her out. Maybe sometimes in a boot camp would help her to understand about how tough they can be in reforming her not the other way around.

  2. You might be able to call human services and maybe they can help you.  try counceling.

  3. Do the boot camp thing again!

  4. Her mothers options were there for her to instill in her daughter from the day she was born. Her mother didn't or the child would not be a juvenile delinquent.

  5. That girl has low self esteem which brings on anger issues, and rebellion.  Your niece needs an adult to validate her feelings and to listen with out judging.   Is that adult you?  Moms sometimes do NOT have the patience or distance from the problems to be good listeners.

  6. Mom could legally  emancipate  her, and have her move out, and fend for herself.

Legal emancipation means mom is no longer legally liable for the daughter's behavior, and gives up all parental rights.

Seems extreme, but if she's that out of control............

    Luck

  7. Whip that whiney brat's booty, and don't give her any money.  That's how you fix that.
