My 16 year old sister is out of control. what can we do?

My mum & Dad said she's not allowed to go to an After-Ball event tonight.

She went anyway and said she's coming back at 4am.

Previously she had gone out and come back at 7/8pm instead of the 5pm which has clearly been said to be the rule so this definately rates as the worst offence yet..

what do you do when you're this far gone.

What are the options??

  1. honestly is seems that if she does not respect your parents rules, than she has lost the right to be under their roof which they are paying and providing for her. If she feels she can make any choice that she wants, than tell her she will have to leave your parents house otherwise she needs to shape up if she wishes to remain in your house

  2. get rid of her.  you don't even want to know what she was really doing at that after party :(

  3. Don't afraid to seriously punish her.

    Send her to military school.

Take her phone tv and all fun activities away for good until she really changes.

Don't let her go anywhere, why aren't the parents standing up and putting their foot down NO going out!

  4. either let go....or Go out of your way to get her back...wwwaaayyy out your way

  5. It seems to go very far and she sounds very bold already.I don't think anybody can control her with a hard hand. Is she close to some one in the family? may be their special assocition can help?

  6. I'm sorry you've been stuck with stupid parents who think 5pm is a late night.  At this point there are probably no options except to tell the parents to give your sister some space so she doesn't go off crazy like this.  It all bottles up until it explodes and for some ridiculous reason the parents don't get that...Years ago when I was a teen I knew kids with parents like this and the kids were either complete angry psychos or clinically depressed.  All you can do is hope you are a better parent when you and your sister have kids...and deal with them till your 18, but take as much money from them as possible cuz they owe you for such terrible parenting.

  7. i think you will find that pretty much every teenager will ignore what their parents say ..!

  8. she'sjust growing up i bet u did things like that rules are there to brake.

  9. You can just let your PARENTS handle the situation, and be the best child you can be. It is not your job to control your sister. Quit interfering, and enjoy your own life.

  10. Wow, all I can say is that your parents have their hands full...haha. They better get a grip now, or it's only going to get worse.

Did you parents know she went to the ball, or did she sneak out?

  11. ooooh what a rebel

  12. well u going to just call the cops sometimes they go to juvey but that usally makes them learn a lesson

  13. man, there is nothing you can do at this age.

i know because i was this 16 yr old.

when youre a rebellious teen, you just do what ever you want,

and if you survive, then youre lucky.

im sorry to the parents, just love them and do the best you can.

but keep enforcing rules, it at least shows you care.

i didnt appreciate it then, but i do now.

EDIT: to all the people saying kick her out, dont listen to that. it makes it worse. then theyre just an angry rebellious person on the street. i lost a lot of friends because parents gave up. they need love and patience. welcome to parentood.

  14. "This far gone?" She's not a crack addict, she's simply being a rebel like all 16 year-olds are.

  15. Nicely ask her her whts the matter and if she is right then let her own her way and if not then be strict on her.Contact me further.

  16. Chastity belt and ball gag.

  17. well i suggest let ur parents handle the situation!! as 4 u, u b nice 2 ur sister! whnevr she is in gud mood  try 2 explain her tht she's doin wrong! u jes lov ur sister nd try 2 make her feel comfortable wid u! love her most! i think thts da bst u can do! rest leave it 2 ur parents and most importantly GOD!!
