He was a little overweight at the end of the last school year. During the summer he got a job at McDs so I just thought he was losing cause he was busy, but now hes getting very thin. He just started dating his first girlfriend since the weight loss and now I think hes so afraid of gaining it back. He is 5"11" is old weight was about 220 and now I think he weighs about 170. I want him to be healthy, but I think he may be going to far. What can I do for him?

  1. He's fine. If he'll get hungry, he'll eat. If your really worried you can talk to him or have a blood test and see what the doctor says.

  2. Everyone knows the average kid would prefer pizza over carrots when it comes to dinner time. It's hard to get children to eat healthy and The American Heart Association realizes it. That is why they came up with some helpful hints for convincing your kids to eat healthy.

    # Start by introducing healthier elements into foods that your child already likes. For example, offer blueberry pancakes, carrot muffins, fruit slices over a favorite cereal, chunks of bell pepper in a potato salad, or shredded veggies over rice.

    # Include your kids in the prep work. By being involved in grocery shopping and food preparation, your kids will have more ‘buy-in.’ If they feel some ownership over the meal, they may be more likely to eat it.

  3. 5'11, 170 sounds pretty good if he has muscle. if he's not eating at all, talk to his gf and ask her to convince him, get him info and sign him up at your gym so he'll feel a little bit more comfortable eating more than he is.
