So My friend is 16 yrs old and got his licenses today but yesterday something bad happened. He drove by himself to run an er-on for his mother. (His mother was not feeling that well) so he insisted to his mom that since he is getting his licenses in 1 day he wants to drive by himself. Well he was in the parking lot of the place he was going to run the er-on for, And he was waiting for the pedestrian to cross to get to the market, He let her cross and hit the accelerator a bit to hard and and a cop pulled him over. He said to my friend that you were driving recklessly, But when he found out he didn't have a licenses he made him call his dad and tell him to come pick him up.

The officer gave him a court date and tell him you must come.

The officer said i am only ticketing you for driving without a valid licenses

Now my friend showed me the place he got caught and he literally drove 20 feet after letting the pedestrian cross and the cop pulled him over.

So My question is what will happen to my friend in court?

He has a liscenes now.

Thanks in advanced

BTW he lives in NH

And he has never done anything wrong in his life

And for the most part he is an Honor student.

Oh and one more thing he didn't spin his tires or anything

  1. You're not clear whether he has a licence or not.

"got his licenses (sic) today"..."is getting his licenses in one day"

Not spinning his tyres is a bonus on a pedestrian crossing?

  2. Get a lawyer; the judge will know you paid some money and suffered consequences.  If not you then tell your friend this info.

All the trouble in America today leaves no room for things such as this.  The judge will see you paid money, see that his license is in hand, so bring it to court, and the lawyer will say how good the kid is and blah, blah, blah.

    The kid will be OK.

  3. He's gonna pay a fine. -You don't have to spin the tires to be "driving reckless" either.

  4. Your friend was cited for driving without a license and he is guilty.  The fact that he got his license the next day is no excuse.  The judge will probably just give your friend a fine and he will have to pay extra for insurance.

  5. He will probably be fined. He will not go to jail.

  6. Driving without a license is a crime.  He must go to court on his court date and an attorney will be appointed to represent him.  Next, the facts support the prosecutor adding a reckless driving charge.  All driving offenses are designated by points assigned for violations.  If your friend accumulates too many points, the State may suspend or revoke his license.  He should ask for drivers school to avoid at least a few points.

  7. He will receive a fine.  I am not positive about NH, but in most states if a person under 18 receives a ticket for driving without a license, they are prevented from obtaining a valid license until 18.  So it is possible that his license could be suspended.  Check with your local dmv to make sure.

  8. His mother is the one that is screwed.  man, I can't believe people like her have children.  She doesn't have respect for herself, her kid, OR the community.  A drivers license is not just a simple thing.  MAN, that really pisses me off.
