We have had a sample tested and it came back as nothing detected. He is a good eater and has a very balanced diet. Can anyone advise

to get him back to normal as this has been going on for about 7 weeks now?

  1. What changed roughly 7 weeks ago? -- is what you should be asking yourself!

If this has been going on for 7 weeks, and not before then, what changed? Did you introduce something into his diet around that time (dairy, peanuts, etc)? Did you stop breastfeeding him around that time? Did he begin ANYTHING new or different at all?

I can almost assure you that if the tests all came back negative with nothing detected, there's something you're overlooking. So think back to when this started.. examine every single (however small) detail that could affect him. Even if it sounds unrelated, examine it.

And you'll find the cause. You'll have to find the cause if you probe deep enough.. it could be something as simple as lack of adequate iron from his milk/formula. =)

    Good luck! <3

  2. hi my little girl was born with her bowel outside her body and constantly had this problem. she is 2 n a half now and she is under a dietician who prescribed protein drinks (like the bodybuilders drink) lol and they are doing the trick. hope this helps.

  3. dont worry too much this can happen if he is teething his cheeks will be bright red or a change in diet  however if its still green or an odd colour its an infection and needs doctor referal  his bowels take a while yet to fully adjust and if he is a normal weight i wouldnt worry to much mashed up banana will help a child of this age it will help harden his stools best of luck with your little boy

  4. Have your doctors considered that he may have a food allergy?

My mother-in-law has celiac (allergy to gluten) which came quite sudden and it took the doctors three years to figure out that she had it and by then she was thin as a rail, suffering from malnutrition and her organs were beginning to shut down because of it...  The only sign of the allergy was loose bowls...
