My 17 yr old,special needs step son,was left sitting in airport alone,airline dropped the ball!Who do I contac

He flew USAir,they said he would be accompanied the entire trip,lay over and all,the contact person at trip destination was told that a picture ID would get him boarding pass,so he could go back and get Mark at the gate he arrived at.Let me back up a little Mark is 17,Autistic,legally deaf in one ear,legally blind in one eye,and operates at a 7-8 yr old level.The problem started when customer service person at desk,refused to give Kevin(brother in law)boarding pass to go back and get Mark,he watched the plane land,saw Mark walk from plane to terminal,BY HIMSELF,then with nobody there to meet him he just sat down in chair!! Meanwhile Kevin is arguing with airline,they have all contact info for pick up in computer,TSA shows up,Kevin explains why is so excited and loud and they dont help either!!Kevin ended up finding a Greenville police officer,told his story and the policeman,went back found my step son and brought him to Kevin!! Imagine.."what if?" special needs boy alone in airport!!

Well if you paid for the UM service and they did not provide that then you need to call their corp# and file a complaint and get your money back along with some free tickets and if they refuse I would just call a good lawyer and they will have a field day with this!

I would contact the department of human services and report the airline personal who refused to allow your brother-in-law to go and get your son and for not having anyone accompany Mark  getting off the plane as that person should have been able to bring Mark to your brother-in-law at the customer service desk. I hope your son was not scared and that his experience will not be a problem in the furture. I myself would also contact a lawyer and ask their opinion on the matter.

I would contact the US AIR head personal and have then check up on what happen with their staff on that day. and get your family free ticket to fly any where because anything could have happen to you son( don't say step son ) you  are take care of him. I see you as his dad because you show that you care.
