My 18 ft trophy wa has a 115 4 stroke. I want to put a 150 4 stoke?

Looking for some info on what I could expect for performance Ie: hole shot. Top end. Handling. Any advice will help

  1. First thing is look at your rating plate in the boat. It will have a listing of max horsepower. If it is rated for 150 then everything should increase with right prop on. If its rated for less than 150 then i would shy away from the bigger motor.


  2. only thing would be extra weight....sometime its the same block .bored and stroked and sometimes its a larger motor...check.

  3. Yeah, that thing should jump out of the hole with a 150 on it, especially if you go for a high-performance prop. You should see top end improvement too. Get her propped correctly and you will see marked improvement.
