  1. Tylenol, if you're not already giving it should bring down the fever.  Otherwise, I think you're correct to go back to the doctor, but ONLY because of the fever.  Oh, and get a humidifier.  That will help thin down the mucous.  There isn't a darn thing you can give a virus, and doctors are getting smarter about this, and won't prescribe anything... if you give antibiotics, the only thing you get is a resistance to antibiotics.  That could be very bad when you really need them.  You could give her something for the cough, there's plenty of cough medicines out there that are safe for children.  But pretty much ALL cold medicines for children have been removed from the shelves, there was no real evidence the medications helped.

  2. If she has a fewer then there is an infection, best to treat it with antibiotics before it gets worse and she ends up with pneumonia.  Then she will end up in the hospital.......  Stopayne or Ponstil suppositorys is the best to work for fever and pain, but that wont stop the ifection...........

  3. how high is her fever?  The doctor will not prescribe anything for her.  It is a virus, and no medicines will treat a virus.

Keep giving her Tylenol and Motrin for the fever, and keep her hydrated.  That is about all you can do.

  4. Try tylenol and then I agree with everyone go back to the doctor, trust your own instincts.

  5. have you given her paracetamol? it will make her fever go down and make her feel more comfortable. go to a chemist and ask for advice there. they are usually really helpful. unfortunately, there isn't much else to do. she'll get better soon and as long as she's drinking a bit (and not getting dehydrated) i wouldn't worry about it.
