  1. no she wont get the shot but you should have a shot for her just incase something happens my litle brother got one just incase

  2. They can do a blood test to see if she has had it before...but if not they well give it to here....My mom told me a had a very mild case when I was younger...I went to doctor because I need some shots to start nursing school...Doctor did blood test to see...Blood test showed I had never had it...so I had to be given the shot

  3. I would let them give her the shot, you can get chicken pox more than once, especially if the first time was mild.

  4. No!  She will not need the shot!  Take her to the doctor to confirm chicken pox, and then she will not need the chicken pox shot.  Or she can get a blood test to check immunity, once immunity is confirmed it will be noted on her shot record.

Getting the chicken pox provides more immunity than the vaccine, and it lasts a lifetime.  The vaccine only lasts 10 years.

I wouldn't get my kids the chicken pox shot anyway.  Getting the chicken pox is better for them then the vaccine.

  5. no she probably wont need a shot. it is called active immunity. when you get the chicken pox your body builds up its own antibodies to the disease. that way if she is exposed to it again, her body will know how to fight it off!  with a vaccine, they are injecting a small bit of the disease into the person, so the body can deveolp a way to fight off that disease later without the actual "sick" side effects. this is teh case for most people but i dont know if your daughter has a condition or somthig. talk to her doctor, just in case

  6. only had shingles and was unable to have children....sorry can t help

  7. hold on she will still need that shot for school. Also, I founded out a few months back that chicken pox is still in your system. My husband is 62 years old...had the chicken pox when he was a child.....and he got them again behind his ears and neck.!!
