My 18 month old fell down the stairs...

Question

I didn't realize the gate wasn't locked and he got past it and fell a full storey down. He has a bloody nose. But the thing that is worrying me is that I am having a hard time keeping him awake and it is not close to bed time. Is this normal after a tramatic event?

I hope that this didn't happen and you're just looking to shake things up...but if it is true, get your child to the emergency room immediately!  It sounds like he has a concussion.

Get him to the hospital!  He could have a head injury!

I would take him to the hospital, just to make sure he is all right. Check his head for bumps, and put some ice on his nose. Don't worry to much about it get him to the doctors as soon as you can so your mind will be at rest. It could be the shock of it all, but defenetly take him. Best of luck! x
