  1. My kids get those all the time from sliding down their slide on their back.

Are they right over the Vertebrae?

  2. My kids always seem to have this at that age but I never thought anything of it.  keep an eye on it.  If they go away then watch carefully for falls and then see if bruises show up.

BTW, there is awesome natural (homeopathic) remedy that you can find a health food store called Arnica.  It's for bruising.  I carry a bottle around with me for when my kids fall at the part or stuff (and don't have open cuts.)  The Arnica takes the pain away and stops a bruise from appearing.  I had never used it before but use it on my kids.  They always stop crying one I have put it on.  A few months ago I got hit in the hand with a flying plastic baseball.  Oh my, that stung.  I put the Arnica on it and the pain was instantly gone.  I usually put it on several times every 5 minutes to make sure the bruising doesn't start.  (I know you weren't looking for that info but I thought I would pass it along.  I didn't learn about this stuff until after my 3rd baby was born.)

As far as the bruising on your daughter, keep an eye on it.  If it just continues to make you nervous I would get a second opinion.  There is nothing wrong with that.  In fact, I think it's wise when parents have suspicions and drs don't help give answers for them to go get a second opinion.

    God Bless.

  3. Is he/she resting on the crib while sleeping? Have you checked the car seat for lumps? I dont know how bruises are normal...something is causing it, dont you think?

  4. I am not quite sure but my daughter got something like that but it was because she had fallen on her back and they were bruises from falling.  I have seen it on my other children but I just figured they fell when I didn't see.

  5. If the doctor keeps telling you its normal, then I would listen to him. Don't worry too much about it.

  6. I dont want to alarm you but bruising can also be related to numerous  medical conditions if the bruisingt is considered excessive.  You may want to talk to another doctor about your concerns.  If possible, it would be really helpfull if you kept a notebook with descriptions of the bruising.  Pics are great too.

The following medical conditions are some of the possible causes of Bruising. There are likely to be other possible causes, so ask your doctor about your symptoms.

    Injury

Normal child play - every child gets bumps and bruises.

    Accident

    Falls

    Physical abuse

Causes of bruising easily or widespread bruising include:

    Bleeding disorders

    Hemophilia

    Von Willebrand's disease

    Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

    Immune disorder

    Leukemia

    Aplastic anemia

    Disseminated intravascular coagulation

    Scurvy

    Blood vessel hemorrhage

  7. My daughter gets something like that and we realized it is from when we tickle her back she must just bruise easily maybe something like that is going on with your child?

  8. If your intuition says it isn't the norm, get a new doc.
