Can anyone tell me why? It's never over 99 degrees. but, he does feel warm. i wonder if he is teething but then he is not drooling. this has been going on for about 2 weeks now. just a low fever but he seems fine. he's playing and eating well.

  1. Maybe it is going to be a "normal" temp for him. If you check with the thermometer books, they tell you that every child has a different "normal" and that it is helpful to know what it is. But if like most, but not all children, when they are teething, their temperature stays up a bit as, when one tooth is nearly through, the next one starts. But as a mum  (never knock the gut feelings that you have) if you are worried then take him to a doctor and ask for a professional opinion. If you are like me, I tell them "please tell me that I am being paranoid and that I have wasted your time". Hope this has helped to make up your mind as you are obviously upset (this is a mum thing get used to it)

  2. It isn't considered really a fever until he hits 100 by most Dr's standards.  Because the average human body is 98.6 but some people have a naturally lower or even higher body temp even if they aren't sick or anything.  There is nothing to worry about unless the fever is around 101 or higher.

  3. Maybe getting his 2 yr old molars. If that is a low grade fever (I am in australia) and he is otherwise fine I would not worry too much.
