My 18 year old daughter is making us crazy!?

My 18 year old daughter is very defiant. She refuses to do anything around the house except continually mess up. My younger daughter and I have to clean up her mess all the time. If I ask her to do anything she just laughs in my face. There's not many privledges I can take away since she is 18 and she does what she wants. I suffer from severe anxiety and chronic insomnia. She tries to taunt me by singing out loud at the top of her lungs to try to upset me. And yes she succeeds!!. Because of my illness I have little strength. I am also a single parent during the week as my husband works in another state. I am at my wits end. Any suggestions?

ok listen i'm 19 years old and I  drive  my parents crazy!!!!! all the time what u should is tell her tio clean up after herself and if she don't then u are taking the  car away her cellphone she can't go out unless she picks up after herself and the driving you  crazy thing is she just does it because she knows it bothers u don't let it bother u

now i kno this will be very hard... but u can kick her out now that she is an adult.. i kno that no mother would want to do that... but make it your last result... possibly try scaring it in her so she thinks u will

Second, she is an adult and if she cant be appreciative of you letting her stay there, then you should kick her out and make her live on her own and make her learn the hard what what being responsible is..

here is the solution to your problem.Pack her stuff and take her to a homeless shelter.tell her you are NOT abandoning her she WILL have a roof over her head, food clothes.She is an adult now and will either get on her own 2 feet or learn to like living at the homeless shelter.

This isn't cruel, mother birds kick their babies out of the nest eventually and I am sure she has more brains than baby bird.Just call it "tough love".It will also show the younger kids what will happen to them if THEY try any silly things.Your Oldest daughter does NOT respect you.This is where you teach her the cold hard facts of life.

Next, your husband needs to move back home or you need to move where he can be home at night to spank her butt if she is going to stay.

sounds like she needs a kick of reality. put a lock on her bedroom door and tell her to start paying you rent to get it open or do chores. make her respect you.   Don't fix her a plate at dinner until she does more around the house, ignore her and don't give her any house privileges or tell her to pack her stuff.  YOu don't need that in your life now.
