My 18 yr old son, just moved out, We had an Amazing Mother/Son bond! Any other mom's feel this way?

He's my Rock, my common sense thinker, he keeps me grounded, he's the Mature One of the family, Something about a Strong Bond, Between Mother & Son's.... I'm happy for him, excited for him to begin his own life, but I miss him! I have an older daughter, close by, and one more daughter 14, still at home...... He's a Cool Young Man! I'm Proud Of Him!!!

I know how you feel. I have a little daughter and find it difficult to believe that one day I will have to let her go.

I know how you feel,  My son and I are also bonded.  he is on only child, that I raised alone since he was 3.  Here's my advice.  Try and find a single man who is like your son, be careful not to keep him so close that his girlfriends/wife feels threatened by you.  you will truely have to let him go.  Try and bond with your 14 yr old daughter, this might help you break away, and your daughter may have been missing you!  I hope I can follow this advice when my time comes!

I believe honestly if your sons the oldest and he's the first one to move out of your home, I can only imagine th eempty nest sydrome that your feeling.. and its great to have a good bond with him.. you'll get to see him sometime not like he is going to drop of the face of the earth right??Just know you've done the best job you could raising each and everyone of your childern and be proud.. Anyone who genuinely likes their child would feel a sense of loss.  But you just wait, soon enough you'll feel the exact opposite thing when he brings home a sweet young lady to meet you.

Congratulations..........on being a single mom & for doing such an Awesome Job......  Yes, the bond between a momma & her son is the strongest bond,   so many fathers out there are missing their close bond with their daughters......... & it's so sad...... so many kids today are raised by single mom's & now more popular, single dad's.  You must be an amazing woman to take on such a huge task or raising 3 kids on your own since day one.....  Well, how old/young are you?  I took am a Single mom,  By Choice...  I have 5 kids.....  on my own and when my oldest son left home to go to college, it tore my heart out.   we can cry together.....he left 2 wks ago, & he just called me!  as I was writing this to you....  Hugs Momma!  Our Son's Love Us!
