  1. I had the same problem, my daughter at 15-19 months wanted nothing to do with her own chair. However she is 25 months now and sitting at her own spot at the table. I would suggest ou get a booster seat, and at her spot at the table where she will sit, go to walmart or any store and get a colorful eating mat to set under her plate. That way she knows its her spot and when she eats she gets to sit in a big girl chair with her mat with ( spongebob, dora) whatever you choose ( or let her choose) and she should then begin to like her spot at the table and eat her food.

  2. Sounds like an issue you need to take up with your husband if you do not want her sitting in his lap.  You both need to present a unified front and both insist that she sit either in a high chair or a booster seat ( I recommend the booster seat).  She is sitting in his lap because you both are allowing her to.  Eventually, with consistency and discipline she will learn that she needs to sit in her own chair.

  3. Put toys in the high chair.

  4. You could try sitting her on your lap. This woked for my son when he was that age. Or you could get her a booster chair and have her sit at the table, like a "big girl"
