My porsche wont start unless i use starting fluid, after that it runs fine untill i turn the car off, then i have to do it again, i do this everytime i'm goin to start the car,

i've taken it to a mechanic but they couldnt find why it wouldn't start.

  1. I would start with the ignition switch.  The ECU has to turn on the fuel injection before the engine actually fires, so that there is fuel in there to fire.  It sounds like this is not happening. But there are many other things that it could be.

You need to find a better mechanic.

  2. The DME relay in the relay/fuse panel under the engine bonnet is probably the culprit here...99 percent of the time it is the relay when there is  a fuel issue..which you seem to have due to the engine firing with the help of starting fluid....if not the relay, pump issues are at hand...jump the relay pins   87 and 30 to see if pump runs and car starts...we know it has spark due to the firing if the starting fluid is used...

  3. It's broke!

  4. Did you start with the basics? Is their spark at the distributor? Fuel and good fuel pressure? Battery and alternator good? Start with the basics and go from their. A haynes manual is usually a good source of info.

  5. I'll bet it's a vacuum leak......

  6. ask a porsche specialist if ur dealer cannot solve the problem
