My 1988 yam jet ski is taking on water why?

i have a 1988 yam jet ski that my nabor gave to me.i got it started it ran really good i put new plugs in an fresh gas.took it down to bay to try it.It ran really good for about 10 min then when i went to give it gas it had no power i looked for seeweed but nothing i thought i may be out of gas no took it out of water looked in engaine conpartment ful of water cant find drain plugs and i dont have manual please help.

  1. If its a stand up it could just be you need a bilge pump.

    otherwise your engine will flood. Not a big deal at all, You just have to make sure you clean the spark plugs and clear the block of water. and it should fire right back up.  I installed a new bilge pump yesterday in my ski and its not a hard install. just check and see what kind it has in it or if it has one at all. but i would guess that is your problem.

    Get an automatic one, if thats what you need. boaters world or a store like that will have a good selection, and all the brackets and stuff you will need.
