My 1990 acura rs 1.8 liter its burning 2 quart of oil every oil change, i think thats way too much,

i see a lot of smoke coming out when i step on the gas real hard, but if i just drive it its fine, no smoke will come out, i just wanna know what can i do? how much would it cost me? thank you so much

  1. take the valve cover off and see inf the drain holes are plugged up


  2. 2 quarts every 3,000 miles isn't out of line. Some engines just use that much. As old as that engine is it wouldn't be a good idea to start fixing worn rings and valves. Do a compression check, and if it's ok let it go.

  3. two quarts of oil every oil change is bad. is there any oil leaks if not then the motor is just plain worn out you will either need to rebuild or replace the motor
