My 1993 chrysler lebaron bogs when i push the gas

Question

it runs fine at first and then when i do any more than babying the gas pedal it sometimes jerks and pushing the gas feels like i'm braking. also it won't go any faster than like 35 when this happens, 40 if i'm lucky. it started happening a couple months ago but not much. now it's not even drivable because of this. what's wrong?!

Check engine lights ? Basic checks like spark plug condition, plug wires, stored codes in the PCM would be a good start. Check all the simple things, after that if you still have a problem, then seek more help.
