My 1996 Honda Civic's fuel guage appears to maintain its reading even when the engine is off?

yea some cars the needle doesnt stay others it does

Normal behavior for that, and many other cars.

yeah i had a 1998 honda civic same thing, it just moves when the car is on, and it doesnt read empty when the car is off.
