Question:

My 1998 dodge ram 2500 v10 8.0L ishaving issues!! I changed the filter and fluids but now it hums!?

It will not hum in park reverse or neutral, only in drive 2 &1, it will go in reverse but will not move in drive. Any Ideas? Preferably transmission techs and mechanics reply unless this has happened to you

  1. sounds like a transmission problem , if you put too much trani fluid in you could of blown a seal , could be the tork converter . Process of elimination .


  2. maybe you don,t have them full enough.

  3. hey man could you just make sure with your engine running your fluid is right topped up that or your filter fell out the bottom of your trans and now it can suck anything, just give it a shot, you used the right fluid didn't you

  4. i am not a pro but i am working and learning about cars. if you have to go get a new or rebuilt transmission from JASPER or from a junkyard. If you do get from the junkyard get it checked out buy your mechanic.
