My 2 1/2 week old baby guinea pig ran away!?

My 2 and a half week old baby guinea pig has gone missing. We don't know if his dad ate him or if he escaped! Will the mum and siblings act weird or just normal?! And if the baby will be alright.

You are supposed to take the males out after breeding. Don't you know anything? I mean, RESEARCH. No the mom and siblings won't even notice it is gone. You don't sound like a fit person to breed, and it is because of irresponsible breeders that the animal population is overflowing. Please don't breed anymore. The baby probably did not escape being that young. The dad probably did eat it. Take the dad out.

Either of your options could have happened (run away or dad ate it) and it would be pretty stupid to leave a baby with a dad cause this can happen if the dad gets hungry. I really hope he turns up but if he ran away he is likely to not come back.

He was not eaten. He has escaped, or someone let him out. Probably lost and hiding somewhere. Maybe put some lettuce around and see if he comes out.

I feel really bad for you because I know how awful you must feel. Don't beat yourself up over it. Maybe he will turn up. Keep looking.

I would not vacuum anytime soon while you are trying to find him. You don't want to scare him and make him too afraid to come out.

Male guinea pigs do not eat the babies.. That is a bad rumor and completely false. The reason you are supposed to take the male out is because he can impregnate the mother again starting just 2 hours after birth.

The father didn't eat the baby, it escaped.  Good luck finding the poor thing.

And you'll be having more babies in a few months, because the father has bred the mother again.  He needs to be separated, along with any remaining male babies after another week.  Or the daughters will be pregnant too.
