  1. My daughters pediatrician told me that the dark circles under my daughters eyes were related to allergies. The dark circles come and go.

  2. our family doctor told us this is more commonly a sign of allergies when I asked about it on my 7 year old. He said it isn't really fatigue related like people think.

  3. Not necessarily.  Could be potentially any number of things, but the 2 commonest are lack of sleep, and lack of oxygen.

Dark circles under the eyes are often seen in people with Asthma, or who have difficulty breathing.  I have dark circles and bags under my eyes which only appeared about 2 months after I had my first Asthma attack.

In short, any number of things could be causing this, but you're best to consult your pediatrician if you have concerns.

  4. Dark circles under the eyes can be a sign of dehydration or nasal congestion, it is rarely related to fatigue..  However, circles under the eyes does run in families.

  5. My little one had similar problem.  Had Dr. look at her and blood-work came out fine, her eating was healthy, took her vitamins OK, her sleep was normal.  I couldn't figure out what it was.  She is now 8 and when she doesn't feel good or didn't get enough sleep, she gets the circles & bags.  This is her way of showing fatigue/illness.  I find it easier to recognize things in her where in my other 2 I only knew when they told me, so maybe its a similar thing with your child.

  6. I would have her Iron checked and maybe see about multivitamins.
