It's soft when I press it, and it wasn't there 2 weeks ago.

  1. go to the doctors if you are worried or phone the midwife because the spine is a delicate area on a baby

  2. you should really see a doctor about this. I have a godson who was 6 when his dad found a weird bump on the side of his neck one day. they set up an appointment for the doctors 3 days later. over the span of one night, it grew to the size of a tennis ball. it was a cyst. He Had surgery and had it removed that morning.

then again, what your son has could be anything from a tiny bruise to an irritation... either way... best to be safe than sorry.

  3. Pimple.

  4. PLZ go and see a doctor don't put it off

  5. i had something like that when i was about 6 weeks old. the dr said it was lymphatic tissue and it would continue to grow and i had to get it removed asap. my mum asked if it was damaging my health or growth, dr said no, but it would look unsightly. my mumsaid she was not putting a 6 week old baby through surgery for cosmetic reason and when i was a bit older, i would have the surgery.

    1month later the lump disappeared.

  6. Mam, I would suggest you take your son to his doctor, and tell his doctor about your concerns, it might not be anything really wrong, but you'll know that, and you and the child will be ok! Mam, I'm a mom ,and a grandmother, but I am not a doctor, and I would not want to say one thing and it be something completely different so if you take your son to his doctor you will find for sure what it is!Good Luck! I'll be praying for your little one that all is well, with his back.

  7. If he seems like he's in pain, take him in immediately. Otherwise call your doctor's nurse and he/she will help you decide whether you should bring your son in to get it looked at. It could be any number of things so it's best to get it checked out if it hasn't gone away already.

  8. It is definitely worth seeing the doctor about it might be something as simple as fluid build up, it is probably not anything to do with the spinal chord, this is protected by the spine, it could just be the way he is lying or what he is lying on

  9. it might just be baby acne. they get that its just normal. but since i havent seen it i cant say for sure, if your concerned about it go see a doctor.

    good luck. :]
